Our firstborn was a satirical thriller that, as Black Light, went into The Independent's top five best boys' adventures for 2008. This was followed by Farewell, My Lovely, a collection of tributes to much-loved departed pets - which came about when we lost an adored and treasured animal.

Then came Green Fire - a sequel to Black Light and the second in the series The Chronicles of Dekaydence - that reminds the great literary critic John Carey of Mervyn Peake.

Farewell, My Lovely came out in hardback, adding to the original text a great number of stories from around the world. We were thrilled when HRH The Duchess of Cornwall agreed to the write the foreword.

The next book, Catch 36 - a beautiful hardback, with and without the jacket - is an eclectic collection of poetry, which has gone into 200 branches of Waterstones.

Whatever next?

The prequel to the satirical thrillers series The Chronicles of Dekaydence written especially for the iPad. An interactive App, lushly illustrated by Jamel Akib, with audio, and a Dekaydence song from Annie Rapoport and Susie Cornfield.
